Spiritist Review — 1862 · Allan Kardec

Chapter 123 of 125

Magnetic dispensary.

The first article of this issue [see Studies on the possessed of Morzine,] highlights the relations existing between magnetism and Spiritism and shows the help that, in numerous cases, the magnetizer can obtain from Spiritist knowledge, cases in which the materialist idea could only paralyze the salutary influence. These relations will be made still more evident in the second article, to be published in the next issue. In bringing to the knowledge of the readers the formation of the establishment directed by Mr. Canelle, whom we know personally and of long standing as an experienced magnetizer, not only a spiritualist but a sincere Spiritist, we feel happy to give him this testimony of our sympathy. The treatments are conducted by him and by several magnetizing physicians. Special sessions are devoted to gratuitous magnetizations. For more ample information see the prospectuses.
