Draft regulation
The undersigned, having resolved to constitute a Spiritist Group or Society in the city of… under the title of Group or Society of…, have agreed upon the following provisions, which shall be accepted by every person who, subsequently, may wish to form part of it.
— The object of the Society is the study of the Spiritist science, principally with regard to its application to morality and to the knowledge of the invisible world. Political questions and those of social economy are forbidden to it, as are religious controversies.
— The Society declares that it adheres to the principles formulated in The Spirits' Book and in The Mediums' Book. It places itself under the protection of the Spirit…, whom it chooses as its guide and spiritual president. It takes as its motto: OUTSIDE OF CHARITY THERE IS NO SALVATION.
OUTSIDE OF CHARITY THERE ARE NO TRUE SPIRITISTS.
