Spiritist Review — 1868 · Allan Kardec
Chapter 91 of 97
Spiritism in Lyon.
This journal, which has appeared since February 15, and of which we have spoken several times, pursues its course with success, thanks to the zeal and the dedication of its directors. Its work is all the more meritorious in that, novices as regards the maintenance of a journal, they have had to struggle against the difficulties of inexperience. But it is by forging that one becomes a blacksmith, and for this reason we follow with keen interest the progress of this journal, which has gained considerably, since its origin, in form and in substance. We compliment it on the spirit of tolerance and of moderation, of which it has made a law, for if it is not one of the qualities without which one could not be truly called a Spiritist, it is a consequence of the maxim it takes for its motto: Outside of charity there is no salvation. Thus, we make sincere wishes for its prosperity. The last number, that of October 15, contains several very interesting articles, to which we call the attention of our readers.
