Mr. Bertrand is one of the excellent writing mediums of the Spiritist Society of Paris and has given proofs of zeal and devotion to the doctrine. This consideration, joined to the desire to be useful to him by making him known as an artist of talent, silenced the scruple we had held until now about announcing the sale of our portrait, for fear that they should see in it a ridiculous presumption. We hasten, then, to declare that we are completely foreign to that publication, as to that of portraits issued by various photographers.
