Chapter 66 of 102
Bordeaux Spiritist Union.
Bordeaux Spiritist Union. Bordeaux had four periodical Spiritist publications: La Ruche, le Sauveur, La Lumière, and la Voix d'Outre-tombe. Since La Lumière and le Sauveur were under the same management, there were in reality only three, which have just merged into a single publication, under the title of Bordeaux Spiritist Union and under the management of Mr. A. Bez, director of the Voix d'Outre-tombe. We congratulate these gentlemen on the measure they have adopted, and which our adversaries would be mistaken to take as an indication of the decline of the doctrine. Far more conclusive facts are there to prove the contrary. The materials of Spiritism, although very numerous, roll within a more or less uniform circle; hence the lack of sufficient variety and, for the reader who would like to receive them all, a very onerous burden, without compensation. The new Bordeaux sheet can only gain from this merger, from every point of view, and we make wishes for its prosperity. We read with pleasure, in the first issues, an excellent refutation of the articles of Mr. Fumeaux on the iniquity and the scourges of Spiritism, as well as a most interesting account of a new cure in Marmande.
