Spiritist Review — 1864 · Allan Kardec

Chapter 8 of 102

Extract from the Opinion nationale.

In a very serious political article on Poland, signed by Bonneau, published in the Opinion nationale of November 10, 1863, one reads the following passage: “Let Francis Joseph evoke the shade of his grandmother, let him ask counsel of Maria Theresa, a suffering soul, persecuted by the remorse of divided Poland, and light will suddenly come to his eyes.” These words need no commentary. We were right in saying, above, that the Spiritist idea pervades everything. Toward it we are drawn, in spite of ourselves, and before long it will overflow.
