Spiritist Review — 1864 · Allan Kardec

Chapter 21 of 102

Notice.

We deem it useful to bring this notice to the knowledge of the persons whom it may concern.

Upon receiving any letter the first care is to look at the signature. In the absence of this or of sufficient designation, the letter is thrown immediately into the basket, without being read, even if it bears the mention: One of your subscribers, a Spiritist, etc. These latter, having fewer reasons than others to keep anonymity in relation to us, for that very reason render the origin of their letters suspect, which is why we do not even take notice of them, since the authentic correspondence is very numerous and sufficient to absorb our attention. The person charged with carrying out the verification has formal instruction to reject without examination every letter of the nature of those of which we speak. Allan Kardec.
