Spiritist Review — 1864 · Allan Kardec

Chapter 102 of 102

Subscription in favor of the burned of Limoges.

As we announced in the last number of the Review, this subscription closed on the 1st of December. The total reached 255 francs.

We will point out that the Society was on vacation at the time of the disaster, which is why the subscription could only be opened at the reopening of its work and announced in the Review of the month of October. By that time, each one had already hastened to cast his offerings into the various centers of subscription, which explains the smallness of the figure obtained which, for the Rouen subscription, had risen to 2833 francs. As nearly all the subscribers remained anonymous, we do not publish a nominative list. In spite of this, we will mention the one who inscribed 50 fr. under the title of Product of the day’s work of a provincial photographer, with the request that even the name of the city be kept silent. The subscription will be delivered in the name of the Spiritist Society of Paris. Allan Kardec.
