Chapter 63 of 131
Transformation
I come to speak to you of that which matters most, in this epoch of crisis and of transformation. At the moment when nations don the virile tunic, at the moment when the unveiled heaven shows you, wandering in the infinite spaces, the Spirits of those whom you believed dispersed like molecules or serving as pasture for the worms; at this solemn moment it is necessary that, armed with faith, man not march groping in the darkness of personalism and materialism. As formerly the shepherds, guided by a star, came to adore the Child-God, it is necessary that man, guided by the brilliant dawn of Spiritism, march at last toward the Promised Land of liberty and of love. It is necessary that, understanding the great mystery, he know that the harmonious end of Nature, its admirable rhythm, are the models of Humanity. In this striking diversity that confounds Spirits, distinguish the perfect similitude of the relations between created things and created beings, and let that powerful harmony lead you all, men of action, poets, artists, workers, to the union in which the common efforts must merge during the pilgrimage of life. Caravans assailed by tempests and by adversities, extend your friendly hands and march with your eyes fixed on the just God, who rewards a hundredfold the one who has relieved the weak and the oppressed.
