Spiritist Review — 1860 · Allan Kardec
Chapter 126 of 148
On firmness in Spiritist works
I am going to speak to you of the firmness you must have in your Spiritist works. A citation in this regard has already been made to you; I advise you to study it with the heart and apply the Spirit to it, for, like Paul, you will be persecuted, not in flesh and bone, but in spirit. The unbelievers, the Pharisees of the time will censure you, will ridicule you, but fear nothing; it will be a trial that will fortify you, if you know how to offer it to God: later you will see your efforts crowned with success. It will be a great triumph for you in the light of eternity, without forgetting that, in this world, it is already a consolation, a happiness, for the persons who have lost relatives and friends, to know that they are happy, that it is possible to communicate with them. March, then, forward, fulfill the mission that God gives you, and it will be taken into account for you on the day when you appear before the Almighty. Channing. n [1]
